306 most humble, devoted and obliged servant Giuseppe Tartini Padua, 4 September 1745 50. Tartini to G.V. Vannetti Here are twelve copies for Your Most Illustrious Lordship, the sale of which I wish to happen at twenty-four Venetian lire each, if this is possible, to cover the addition of the z ecchino for the travel expenses. When the aforementioned merchant wishes to be involved, it is sufficient for Your Most Illustrious Lordship to inform me. In that case, the quantity of copies shall be sent that will be assigned by the aforementioned. Meanwhile, by means of him, if Your Most Illustrious Lordship could kindly provide me with the proceeds from just these twelve. Then, when I have disentangled myself from this business (which shall be in a few months) I shall specifically concentrate on paying my particular debts with music, but not printed music, and Your Most Illustrious Lordship shall be the first of my creditors to be satisfied. I convey to you my most cordial regards, and submit myself as ever as Your Most Illustrious Lordship’s most humble, devoted and obliged servant Giuseppe Tartini Padua, 5 October 1745 51. Tartini to G.V. Vannetti I am very much indebted towards Your Most Illustrious Lordship for the support received in the sale of that portion of prints which has been hitherto possible, and for which I have received the money. Please bear the trouble of keeping the remainder with you, as I hope that either Your Most Illustrious Lordship or I shall encounter fortuitous opportunities for the sale of the remainder. Indeed, I suggest to this effect the aid of Signor Christoforo Baroni in Sacco 33 (a former student of mine) who will certainly help, 33 Cristoforo belongs to the Baroni family of Borgo Sacco, a district of Rovereto.
