Giuseppe Tartini - Lettere e documenti / Pisma in dokumenti / Letters and Documents - Volume / Knjiga / Volume II
293 LETTERS that I know your goodness, shown a thousand times, and that is the sole reason for my confidence. I tire myself with Signor Paolino, but in truth I do not have much time, nor health, which is worse: this is usual for me in the summer, and in the heat. Nonetheless, I shall do my duty to the best of my ability, counting on the fact that he then shall complete every study on his own, while I hope he shall leave this place skilled. I convey to you my most cordial regards and as ever I remain Your Most Reverend Lordship’s most devoted most obliged servant Giuseppe Tartini Padua, 9 June 1741 38. Tartini to G.B. Martini I have received the bag from the man in question, for which I infinitely thank you; my obligations towards Your Reverence are ever greater. Through Signor Don Angelo, and by order of Signor Don Antonio, you shall immediately be paid the satisfaction of the expense, with regard to which I must tell you in all truth that Signor Don Angelo received the order to pay whatever Your Reverence would ask him, and not just 15 paoli and 7 baiocchi . The package has already been delivered to Signor Don Antonio, therefore with regard to this I can only thank you once again. From now on I shall await, through you, the commands of His Excellency Signor Conte Cornelio with regard to the day of our Signor Paolino’s departure for Bologna, while presuming that he shall be allowed to fully complete the month. I beg you to convey my most obsequious regards to His Excellency, and kissing Your Reverence’s sacred hands, as ever I declare myself Your Reverence’s most devoted and obliged servant Giuseppe Tartini
